Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 03.07.2026

Final Sale

All items sold on LDW Threaded are final sale, unless they are faulty or not as described.

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Sizing or fit issues

  • Buyer's remorse

Faulty or Misdescribed Items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, second-hand goods must be as described and of satisfactory quality, taking into account their pre-loved nature.

If you believe an item is faulty or not as described, please contact us within 3 days of delivery at ledoublewearshop@gmail.com, including:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs

  • A brief description of the issue

If the claim is accepted, we will provide:

  • A prepaid return label (UK orders only)

  • A full refund, including the original standard delivery cost

Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

International Orders

The same final-sale terms apply to all international orders. Refunds are available only for items that arrive faulty or significantly not as described, within 3 days of delivery.

Important notice for international buyers: due to the significant customs, import duty, VAT and courier clearance costs involved in cross-border returns, our approach to approved international returns may differ from domestic returns.

For approved international return claims, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a partial or full refund without requiring the item to be returned to us

  • Offer a store credit in lieu of a monetary refund

  • Request return of the item under specific customs conditions (see below)

If a physical return is required, the buyer must:

  • Contact us before shipping the item back to receive our return authorisation and reference number

  • Ship the item via a fully tracked and insured service at their own expense

  • Declare the parcel on the customs form (CN22 or CN23) as “Returned Goods – not for resale” with our supplied return authorisation reference

  • Where applicable, request “Returned Goods Relief” on the customs declaration

  • Include a copy of the original order confirmation inside the parcel

The buyer accepts responsibility for:

  • Return shipping costs

  • Any UK import duty, VAT, or courier clearance fees incurred as a result of incorrect customs declaration

  • Loss or damage during return transit

Where UK import charges are incurred due to incorrect customs declaration by the buyer or their courier, these amounts will be deducted from any refund issued.

Non-refundable charges under all circumstances:

  • US customs duties and import taxes originally paid on delivery — these were paid to your country's customs authority and were never received by LDW Threaded

  • Original international shipping costs

  • Return shipping costs

How to Return a Faulty Item

  • Contact us first for approval and instructions

  • Do not return items without prior written authorisation

  • UK returns: use the prepaid label we provide

  • International returns: follow the specific customs guidance we provide with your return authorisation

  • Pack the item securely, ideally in its original packaging

Sustainability & Transparency

As a small, independent business focused on considered consumption, we operate a final-sale model to reduce unnecessary shipping, packaging waste, and environmental impact. This approach also aligns with the standard practice of premium pre-loved marketplaces and independent resellers, where each piece is unique and cannot be replaced with new stock.

We take care to provide:

  • Accurate descriptions

  • Clear photographs

  • Measurements taken flat, as a guide for comparison with an item you already own

Each piece is carefully checked prior to listing. If an undisclosed flaw is identified, we will always resolve this fairly and promptly.

Thank you for supporting a slower, more intentional approach to dressing.
